FROM CANVAS TO FABRIC

A single luminous blue silk scarf stands at the heart of this collaboration, carrying a painting by Nele-Marie Franzen from her series “Blue” from canvas to fabric. Sometimes collaboration begins without a big moment: two women, one conversation in Hamburg, and the quiet certainty that their values align. Nele-Marie Franzen and SPECTRUM STUDIOS designer Birgit Brockbals share an interest in what touches people beyond the surface, in how colour, cut, and texture can shift a mood and invite a sense of calm presence. The silk scarf takes her blue off the canvas and onto the body, softening the noise of the day and bringing light into a room or into an outfit. Like art at home, this accessory becomes the final touch, the small i dot that pulls everything together and brings beauty, self expression, and emotion closer to everyday life.

HIGHLY LIMITED EDITION

The SPECTRUM STUDIOS x Nele-Marie Franzen scarf translates a single painting into a tactile object. A square of fluid fabric, saturated with the deep, radiant blue of the oil series “Blue”. It sits between artwork and wardrobe piece, designed to be tied, wrapped, and lived with.

A square that invites play. Worn around the neck, tied as a top, knotted at the waist as a belt, wrapped as a headscarf or styled as a soft accent on your bag, this piece moves with your day and shifts with your mood. One motif, many ways to wear what blue can do.

Two sizes available 70x70cm and 90x90cm.

All orders received by May 3rd are guaranteed to be delivered by Mother's Day, May 10th.

Nele-Marie Franzen is an ultra contemporary painter living and working in Hamburg. Her energetic, densely layered abstract works mirror her personality: courageous, spontaneous, full of movement, and always evolving. She follows an intuitive, experimental approach to painting. Large scale canvases, walls, and intense colour worlds give her the space to explore new paths and push luminosity to its edge, creating vivid, vibrating pieces. Many of her paintings grow over several weeks, as she builds up multiple layers of colour and lets details appear almost incidentally. She mixes acrylics, oil paint, oil sticks, and pastels, and works with unconventional tools such as stable brooms, always searching for new, contemporary compositions that feel both surprising and precise.
